The single biggest bottleneck in short-term rental turnover is the wash cycle. A cleaner who has to run laundry on-site spends two to three hours per unit instead of forty-five minutes.

The fix is swap-out sets. Keep three linen sets per bed in rotation: one on the bed, one clean and staged, one in processing. Your cleaner strips, restages, and leaves.

Once you decouple laundry from the physical turn, you can accept same-day bookings that you previously had to block out. For most operators, that recovered availability is worth more annually than the entire linen service costs.

Track linen life. Hospitality-grade sheets should last 150 to 200 washes; if yours are failing sooner, the wash program is too aggressive for the fabric weight.
